Merlin Antiques was established in 1990. Our specialty is English pottery from the 19th century. Our great love is Blue and White Transferware--actually transferware in all colors! We also sell Staffordshire Figures, Gaudy Welsh China, Lustreware, Pot Lids, Aesthetic Movement Pottery, Romantic Transferware and miscellaneous Pearlware items.

We are located in Palo Alto, California, 35 miles south of San Francisco.
We are not a shop, but invite collectors to view our extensive stock, which is always on display, by appointment.
This caught my eye and I think it will catch yours too concerning shards from early San Francisco's Belli Building location:

ReplyDeleteHello Judie! I am delighted to find your blog whilst searching the web to identify a maker/pattern name of a 19th century platter I recently discovered. Your writing of your dear friend, Darla, brought both a smile (what a treasure such a friend is) and a tear (a void that can never be filled). Thank you for sharing your heart...I am blessed to have such a friend but we will be parted one day and your reflections served as a prompt to pick up the phone. I will continue my pattern search right after I catch up on the latest happenings with my "Junksista". Have a blessed day!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kathy! I am so glad you have a dear friend too. Enjoy! Warmly, Judie
DeleteHi, im cruising the web trying to date a blue willow platter. Its Ridgway, i cannot find a single other piece with the same mark/monogram. Would you be able to help? Thanks, Kay
ReplyDeleteHi Kay,
DeleteI suggest trying the message board of the Transferware Collectors Club, https://members.boardhost.com/transferware/. They should be able to help you.
